Product Description What does the i stand for in the new SR60i from Grado? Improved, that's what. Yes, Grado has taken one of the world's most legendary headphones and taken it a few steps further. The new SR60i has an upgraded driver design, and they have enlarged and improved the mass distribution in the plastic housing. The way the SR60i's new driver and plastic housing move air and react to sound vibrations are now less affected by transient distortions. With the SR60i you will notice improved control of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum with both better supporting Grado's world renowned midrange. And The SR60i will produce a sound that is pure Grado, warm harmonic color, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end. Listen and Enjoy.

Fantastic! September 25, 2009 David Williams (London) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought these headphones after my old Shure ones broke after a mere 6 months. I had always heard good things about Grado, and thought I would try out their entry level series. Right from the off I was blown away. The clarity is astounding. The bass is punchy without distorting. I also think the design is brilliant, despite them looking a bit old hat. Throw away your iPod headphones en masse and buy a pair of these. You won't regret it.
fantastic!!!!!!! September 12, 2009 J. A. Mccoy (derbyshire england) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
as far as headphones go the sr60i are amazing, you can hear every little detail of whatever your listening to, some headphones are preoccupied with bass where as the grados are preoccupied with great sound. the headphones i had before the grados were koss porta pro and they were great but the grados are a step above, everything is richer through the sr60i's, the bass is far clearer and you'll hear things on your favourite tracks you've never heard before. the build quality is quite excellent, the lead is almost like a guitar lead in thickness. the earpads are quite comfortable as well. if your considering spending some serious money on heaphones then buy the grados, your not going to get a better headphone for £85, if you wanna make a fashion statement with your headphones i'd go for wesc or skullcandy but if you want headphones that are all about the sound then go for the grado you will not be dissapointed.
How much is your music collection worth? January 13, 2010 Pizza (Guernsey, Channel Islands) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Straight out of the box these cans make me want to listen again to my whole music collection. Of the growing number of tracks I have revisited I am discovering new sounds and better mixes. So don't worry too much about the cost because it's like you've just bought a whole load of new music!
The design is basic and the box was so light that I didn't realise that it was my new headphones. Goldilocks fit - not too tight or too loose but I suspect the foam earmuffs might get a bit warm in the summer. A small price to pay for such a great sound.
These are open phones so there is a noise leakage which might annoy others so don't wear them on the train.
The sound delivers enough bass for my ears with an overall tone which is well balanced.
Like all headphones these should improve with use, so I'll update this review in a few weeks time. For now though I'm a very happy bunny and fully recommend these headphones.
Hot sounds and warm ears March 9, 2010 A. M. Cameron (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having grown tired of the second cable failure of my Sennheiser PX100s (though sound was good), decided to take the plunge and pay a larger lump of cash for these alleged award winners. The jump in quality is worth the jump in price (from £17.99 to £86.00, both through Amazon). Space, separation, detail is all much improved. I can hear subtle textures and tones I'd not noticed before - even whole background instruments. Bass is solid, without being overwhelming, vocals are clear. Listening to Brian Eno's 'Another Green World' album as I write (on my Samsung YP3 mp3 player) so thoroughly enjoying revisiting old friends, now refreshed and reinvigorated. Now Burial ('Untrue') is reverberating round my skull! Any disadvantages? As others here have said, sound leakage means they're not very private, and size makes them less portable than the PX100s, and the pads are warming on the lugs, but since I can't stand in-ear phones, I have to walk the dog with these or go silent. Good job I walk the dog on the moors!
Brilliant sound February 11, 2010 Mr. C. M. Stocks (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First impressions on taking the SR60i s out of the box wasn't the best. The plastics were a little sharp and not as well finished as I would have expected for phones in this price bracket.
However once you get them over your ears, it's a different matter. The sound is clear and free flowing. It has a ,ore natural sound than my Old Senheissers and also my Shure SE210 buds.
Truly recommended
